These pictures are of my best friend Zoe. I took these downtown during the evening around the holidays. I was talking to her while taking the pictures so I got a really good shot of her laughing. For the black and white one, I tilted my phone downwards from a higher angle and told her to use her eyes instead of her head to look at something. Informal balance is noticeable because there are lights on the left side but none on the right side of the photo. Also, selective focus is very key in the black and white image because I wanted to draw more attention to her face and highlighted features.
